Basketball coaches at all levels must critically evaluate their players' skills and performances throughout the year. Below is a rating evaluation sheet that I like to use with my basketball team. Basketball players are encouraged to play to their strengths and to continue to work on their weaknesses.

Evaluation:  Each player in your basketball program needs to be personally evaluated during the school year by the head coach. Coaches should use this time to bond with the player and show genuine interest... This is what WE need to do get better.

"I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion." -- Muhammed Ali
"As coaches we talk about two things: offense and defense. There is a third phase we neglect, which is more important. It's conversion from offense to defense and defense to offense." -- Coach Bob Knight
