What’s the cheer you think of when LSU or your favorite football team scores a touchdown? I think of T-I-G-E-R-S TIGERS!! It’s really fun!
Cheerleading is fun too! One thing that makes cheerleading fun is friends and practice! If you didn't have any friends on your team practices would be boring because you have no one to talk to or laugh with. They also keep you motivated and hyped up. Practices are fun too! It always makes me happy knowing that I'm about to learn something new.
When you go to a big sports game the crowd is always pumped up. That’s a cheerleader’s job. They start cheers, chants, and sometimes dances. It’s always fun to know your part of the game when you’re down on the sidelines performing cheers for the audience. When my cheer squad has a game we are all so excited! You get to wear a uniform, bow, cute cheer shoes and pom-poms. When we cheer at games sometimes you can get nervous. I only get nervous the first game because you don't really know what you’re doing, but after that you feel honored you because you get to cheer for your team!
Another thing that makes cheerleading fun is the stunts and cheers! When we do stunts everyone that’s not involved with that particular stunt gathers around to help. The flyer is the girl who is thrown. The one in the back of the flyer is the back spot she helps the flyer keep her balance and the bases are the two girls who hold the flyer up. In some stunts you may need a front spot. She helps the flyer not fall forward. When you perform dances you can put some stunts in to make it more interesting. The cheers our team does is so fun! We probably have thirty cheers we perform for football and thirty for basketball. Some may say defense, offense or maybe just a little chant like “fight Crusaders fight."
Has this made you want to go to a game or maybe tryout for a cheer squad? Always make sure to have fun while doing stunts cheers or especially performing at a game! As my cheer team says “hands on hips smiles on lips thinking about shopping trips!”
